Winter came early for the people of Illinois as an unexpected snowfall dropped snow on the trees and bushes that still retained their foliage. Surprising to see peeking out from the snow were the berries clinging to the little bush on the side of my house. With camera in hand, I went outside into the cold and snow and took a few choice shots of the wintry landscape my yard had become. One of the more amazing and festive shots I took were of those berries and their bright red color standing out against the backdrop of white snow.
