Into the water the snowy egret peers waiting ever vigilant watching for that morsel of food to swim past. This particular photo of one of my most photographed subjects the Snowy Egret was taken at the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island in Florida. Taken in the late winter months of 2006 the birds that normally inhabit the refuge had left for the season. The time of day had also a role to play in the number of birds we would see that day. However, near one of the many pipes that run under the main road through the refuge is where a snowy egret can be found.
This particular egret just happened to be watching the water for a fish to swim by and become its meal.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
